This heavily textured painting, executed in oils with the use of a palette knife, portrays the uncertainty of where we might go to when we leave the physical realm. Who do we become or, rather, what do we become? Do we still remain ourselves just like how we know it now or do we still remain ourselves, but in another way? Does our consciousness/memories remain or do they get erased? The depiction of two faceless women found in the darkest of realms (in representation of the unknown, the uncertain), yet surrounded by beauty, magic, and wonder of what could await us on that other unknown side, symbolized here by vibrant citrine quartz. Original oil painting, varnished to completion.
